Wregg, London, marine chronometer, mounted within gimbaled brass tub in two-tier brass bound mahogany box, white enamel dial of approximately 3 inch diameter signed "Wregg, Inventor, London," KWKS, fusee-drive with dead beat verge escapement with solid brass three arm balance, no s# present.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running sluggishly, overhaul recommended, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with numerous fine scratches; excellent dial with light hairline through the center; fine-plus hands with light oxide; tub and gimbals in fine condition overall, missing locking slide to keep gimbals stationary; box with numerous ding and scrapes from years of continuous use.
